Investigation of Combined Heating and Cooling Systems with Short- and Long-Term Storages

چکیده

Modern buildings in cold climates, like Norway, may have simultaneous heating and cooling demands. For these buildings, integrated systems with heat pumps, as well short-term long-term thermal storage, are promising solutions. Furthermore, combining this system renewables aids the transition to future sustainable building energy systems. However, cost-effectively designing operating such a complicated is challenging rarely addressed. Therefore, research proposed an that incorporated water tank borehole storage. Meanwhile, three modes: heating, cooling, free were defined based on different load conditions. A detailed model was developed MATLAB using pump manufacture data simulated measured loads. Following that, sensitivity studies performed investigate impacts of ground properties, storage size, setpoint temperature, characteristics, The findings identified crucial factors influence system’s overall efficiency functioning key components. Particularly, it revealed low ratios caused imbalance charging discharging, further reducing temperature degrading pump’s performance.
